Paul Arden

A communications strategist with extensive policy, speechwriting and on-the-ground experience, Paul works with SKDKnickerbocker’s corporate, nonprofit, and political clients.

Prior to joining SKDK, Paul served as communications director for Rep. Jared Huffman. As Huffman’s first communications director, Paul crafted and implemented a strategic communications plan to introduce Rep. Huffman to Washington and establish him as a leading voice on the environment, energy and transportation. Paul worked with Huffman for an appearance on one of the last episodes of the Colbert Report, after which the Washington Post said Huffman “beat Colbert at his own game.”

Paul previously worked in Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s press shop for 4 years, focusing on digital communications. He got his start in politics as an intern for then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

A Northern California native, Paul holds a bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in psychology and history.
