Herbie Ziskend has worked for prominent business executives and political leaders for more than a decade. At SKDKnickerbocker, he advises some of the country’s largest companies, candidates running in competitive political races, and major issue-advocacy campaigns.
Prior to joining SKDK, Herbie was director of public policy for AOL co-founder Steve Case at the investment firm Revolution LLC. Herbie ran Revolution’s “Rise of the Rest” platform and oversaw strategic communications and policy planning firm-wide.
Previously, Herbie served as chief of staff to Arianna Huffington at the Huffington Post – a division of AOL.
During the first term of the Obama-Biden Administration, Herbie worked in the White House as a policy advisor to Vice President Biden, and prior as a press and staff assistant. He joined President Obama’s first national campaign in early 2007, traveling to more than 35 states as a member of the advance team and later as a traveling staff aide to Vice Presidential-Nominee Joe Biden.
Herbie has a B.A. from Cornell University and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.
