Alex uses his experience in politics and newspaper journalism to help some of the nation’s largest companies and foundations to secure high-profile coverage, navigate major crises, and build strategic media campaigns.
As a Senior Vice President at SKDKnickerbocker, Alex advises clients on a range of communications engagements from public affairs outreach to managing internal and crisis communications. He has extensive experience placing stories and securing interviews for corporate, nonprofit, and advocacy clients – outlets include the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, CNBC, Wall Street Journal, NPR, and USA Today. Alex’s experience spans the gamut of industries including healthcare, higher education, philanthropy, and nonprofits.
Alex joined SKDK from Boston-based O’Neill and Associates, where he developed and implemented media strategy for clients in healthcare, financial services, and organized labor. Previously, Alex was a press secretary for two campaign cycles, handling media relations and policy development for Congresswoman Katherine Clark’s 2013 campaign and for Warren Tolman’s 2014 campaign for Massachusetts attorney general.
Alex started his career as a newspaper reporter, with stops at the Arizona Republic, The Eagle-Tribune and The Enterprise of Brockton. Alex lives in Brooklyn and he is a graduate of Tufts University.
