Tyler’s experience in political and communications strategy helps him untangle the complexities of today’s hyperpartisan, fragmented, and fast-paced media ecosystem into effective, winning messages. At SKDKnickerbocker, Tyler has crafted and executed strategic communications plans for dozens of political, non-profit, advocacy, corporate, and legal clients, including earned, paid and digital media strategy, crisis communications, speechwriting, debate and hearing prep, litigation strategy, and thought leadership and brand-building.
Prior to joining the firm’s public affairs team, Tyler worked at Media Matters for America, where he worked on analyzing daily media trends, countering political misinformation campaigns, and implementing online advocacy initiatives. Prior to Media Matters, Tyler interned at the Center for American Progress, and for Congressman Henry Waxman and California State Senator Fran Pavley.
Tyler is a Los Angeles native and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in political science and minors in civic engagement and gender studies.
