Rachel uses her campaign background to craft messaging strategy and secure media coverage for SKDKnickerbocker’s advocacy, non-profit and corporate clients.
Prior to joining SKDK’s public affairs team, Rachel served as assistant press secretary of the Democratic National Committee and led the Democratic Party’s women’s media outreach. She secured earned media placement in national and local markets during the 2016 presidential election, and she was a key player in the DNC’s rapid response program. Rachel planned and executed press events with high level surrogates on the campaign trail and in Washington, D.C., and she managed press operations at Democratic primary debates.
Previously, Rachel held various roles at organizations across politics and government, including American Bridge 21st Century, Precision Strategies and the U.S. Department of Justice. A Minnesota native, Rachel holds her bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from St. Olaf College.
