Meaghan is an expert at strategic and crisis communications, bringing a decade of experience at the intersection of public policy, media and politics to work for our corporate and nonprofit clients.
She joined SKDKnickerbocker from the Department of Health and Human Services where she was director of communications for health care and a senior adviser. Meaghan was instrumental in rolling out the Affordable Care Act’s second open enrollment, leading the media team and rapid response operation. She was also responsible for the media strategy related to investigations and Congressional hearings.
Prior to serving in the Obama administration, Meaghan was Sen. Brian Schatz’s communications director on his campaign and in his D.C. Office. Earlier she served as deputy communications director and press secretary for the Senate Finance Committee handling press on high-profile issues including health reform, international trade, tax and budget negotiations.
