Kasey brings a broad range of communications, politics and health care experience to corporate and advocacy accounts as part of SKDKnickerbocker’s public affairs team. Kasey joined the firm from the Obama administration, where she served as a communications advisor at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, working to ensure millions of Americans have access to quality, affordable health care. During the 2016 Zika virus outbreak, Kasey was part of the Zika response media team, which led efforts to educate the public about health risks and urged Congress to provide additional funding to prevent further spread of the virus.
Previously, Kasey ran communications and operations for a medical device trade association in northern Virginia. She got her start in politics as an intern for Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Kasey holds a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University in economics and political science.
