Josh Dorner

Josh leads communications efforts on behalf of SKDKnickerbocker’s nonprofit, corporate and advocacy clients. In 2015, he led the successful coordinated effort to publicize the stakes involved in the Supreme Court’s landmark Affordable Care Act case, King v. Burwell. Subsequently, he has worked with several advocacy coalitions with marquee cases before the Court on a diverse array of topics, including workers’ rights, voting, immigration, women’s reproductive rights and religious exemptions. Josh also served in a senior role in the strategic communications campaigns coordinated by the Constitutional Responsibility Project during the Merrick Garland and Neil Gorsuch Supreme Court confirmation battles.

Prior to joining SKDK, Josh served as communications director for Sen. Debbie Stabenow and the Senate Committee on Agriculture, where he focused on issues as diverse as farm bill implementation, energy, health care, tax policy, international trade and financial regulations. Before working on Capitol Hill, Josh led communications and strategy for several national advocacy organizations, including the Center for American Progress and Sierra Club.
