Emily Samsel works on SKDKnickerbocker’s public affairs team in the New York City office advising and supporting non-profit, advocacy and corporate clients.
Emily has an extensive background in political communications and campaigns – she worked on her first campaign before she was old enough to vote, as a 17-year-old deputy field organizer on then-Senator Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Most recently, Emily served on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 surrogates team, ensuring the first woman to earn a major party’s nomination for president was able to spread her message far and wide, through the voices of celebrities, elected officials and public figures strategically deployed to battleground states.
Prior to the Hillary campaign, Emily worked on msnbc.com’s editorial team and President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign in his Chicago Headquarters.
