SKDK is Hiring: Executive Communications Practice, D.C. Office

Are you the person everyone in your office runs to when they need something written creatively, cleanly and quickly? Do you have a thirst for storytelling, speechwriting and communications strategy? What about a knack for translating complex arguments into clear language to make messages that stick?

If that sounds like you, you should talk to us.

We’re SKDKnickerbocker, the Holmes Report 2015 Public Affairs Agency of the Year, and we’re looking for candidates to join our Executive Communications team in Washington, D.C. Through polished speechwriting, presentation coaching and media training, we help CEOs, political leaders and the faces of progressive causes shape and share their ideas from behind the podium and in front of the cameras.

As a key part of our team, you’ll work closely with our clients, who have included Cabinet secretaries, senators, members of Congress, governors, mayors, ambassadors and candidates; university presidents, philanthropists and foundation heads; advocates for cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and causes like clean energy, global health and equal rights; and C-Suite executives atop Fortune 500 companies.

As our new teammate, you’ll write speeches and op-eds for leading voices, craft messaging documents on newsworthy issues, prepare and participate in on-camera media trainings from our in-house studio, and draft and edit content for our public affairs and political clients.

And as a member of the larger SKDK family, you’ll get to collaborate every day with passionate colleagues who take pride in doing great work for the greater good.

Send an email with the subject line “Executive Comms” to jobs@skdknick.com and include your resume, the two or three writing samples you’re most proud of, and a couple of sentences about your experience writing for and working with principals. We’re an equal opportunity employer with a strong dedication to diversity.
