Technology and Start-Up PR Guru Lindsey Green Joins SKDKnickerbocker as Vice President

Veteran PR expert to help launch full-scale tech practice at SKDK

(NEW YORK)– SKDKnickerbocker (SKDK), one of the nation’s leading political consulting and strategic communications companies, today announced that Lindsey Green, a veteran public relations professional focused on supporting start-ups in the technology and media sectors, has joined the firm as a Vice President in the New York City office.

Green joins Cecelia Prewett in expanding the firm’s technology expertise. Prewett joined SKDK’s Washington office in February from the Federal Trade Commission, where she served as the Director of Public Affairs and Senior Policy Advisor for Chairman Jon Leibowitz. SKDK has a rapidly growing list of technology accounts in both Washington, D.C. and New York City, in which the firm offers services from strategy, to public relations and public policy.

Green will serve in SKDK’s public affairs and strategic communications practice, leading the firm’s work with technology, start-up and media clients. Green comes to SKDK after nearly 10 years of working with start-up and media companies, most recently running her own consulting firm, Ti14th, for three years. Til4th has serviced some of the highest-profile New York City and Silicon Valley start-ups, including DailyWorth, HowAboutWe and Circa.

“SKDKnickerbocker has always represented the most important candidates, companies and creators. As New York City establishes itself as a crucial home for tech startups, it’s the right time for SKDK to extend its excellence into this space. I’m beyond excited to bring this expertise to a firm that has always led the way in strategic communications,” said Green.

Muck Rack named Green as one of the top five public relations professionals of 2011, and her writing has appeared in Forbes, Medium, The Daily Muse, New York Magazine, Fashionista, and Deadspin.

“Lindsey is an incredibly gifted communications professional whose innovative approach has led, time and time again, to astounding results for her technology and media clients,” said Josh Isay, Managing Director. “We are thrilled that she is joining the SKDKnickerbocker team and bringing her considerable talents to work for our clients.”

Prior to launching her own firm, Green worked with Kinda Sorta Media to grow its start-up public relations firm. That followed a stint at Jill Stuart, where she was the director of communications. Green started her career as general manager at Thehappycorp global, a digital advertising and branding firm.

Green will join one of the most experienced teams of high-level strategists in the country led by Josh Isay, Jennifer Cunningham and Stefan Friedman in New York; and Anita Dunn, Bill Knapp, Hilary Rosen, Jill Zuckman, J.B. Poersch, Kelley McCormick, Doug Thornell, Karen Olick, Noralisa Leo, Jim Mulhall and Chris Cooper in Washington, D.C.
