Anita Dunn on MSNBC: We Can Pull Together and Move Forward in 2012

On Tuesday January 10th, SKDKnickerbocker Managing Director Anita Dunn appeared on MSNBC’s Jansing and Co. where she discussed the state of the Obama Presidency, including: the stepping-down of White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley, Jodi Kantor’s new book “The Obamas,” and the accomplishments of Obama’s presidency over the past three years.

Dunn: “There is so much that we have to do to move this country forward together, and the Republican candidates haven’t offered any ideas to create jobs. They haven’t offered any ideas beyond going back to the policies that got us the problems that we have in the first place…

The reality is that if you look at this White House, and you look at this President, what he has achieved and what he has accomplished over the last three years is really extraordinary…this President did something nobody did in seventy years, to have national health care reform to make sure health care is accessible and affordable to American families. He took on Wall Street to make sure we don’t have another meltdown like we had in 2008, and he put the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in place so consumers have someone standing up for them. He kept his pledge to end the War in Iraq and we brought the troops home in December…and he is working hard every day to build an economy that’s going to last, that doesn’t go from bubble to bubble and that really restores the vitality of the middle class.”
