A seasoned strategist and crisis manager with more than 25 years of experience, Mike Morey has advised CEOs, foundation presidents, academic leaders, and public officials on positioning, leadership transitions, corporate and nonprofit campaigns, and high-stakes crises.
As President of SKDK, he leads the firm’s enterprise-wide growth strategy, aligning practices and affiliated companies, driving new business through acquisitions and organic expansion, and supporting senior leaders to strengthen client services, talent development, and innovation.
Mike launched and leads the firm’s foundations and philanthropy practice division, where he advises some of the largest endowed philanthropies in the world. He leads major communications programs and campaigns for universities, climate and energy organizations, healthcare systems, major social service providers and nonprofits, trade associations, corporations, and high-stakes litigation.
He is consistently recognized as one of the nation’s top PR, crisis management, and political communications professionals. Prior to his time at SKDK, he served as US Senator Chuck Schumer’s New York communications director.
