Jon Reinish joined the firm in 2011 and brings a combination of communications, political and policy experience to SKDKnickerbocker.

Prior to joining the firm, Jon served as an aide to US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) in New York and Washington, DC.  In this capacity, he worked on national, statewide and regional press-driven initiatives, campaigns and events in a variety of media, and handled political activity and outreach to key constituencies, including the gay community. 

Previous to joining Senator Gillibrand’s staff, Jon served as a Deputy District Manager on President Obama’s election campaign in the swing state of Virginia.  Before entering the political sphere, Jon oversaw several successful communication campaigns for a range of private sector and nonprofit clients in New York and nationally, as well as throughout Europe.

A New York City native, Jon studied Political Communications at the post-graduate level at Johns Hopkins University and received his BA from Vassar College in Art History.  In his spare time, Jon can be found checking out exhibitions in galleries and museums across the country, on the tennis court, or in his canoe off the coast of Maine.
