Casey brings more than a decade of experience in strategic communications, public affairs and business development for corporate and non-profit clients to SKDKnickerbocker.  Most recently, she served as Director of Communications & External Relations for Blue State Digital, a leading digital marketing agency, where she played a dual role directing in-house PR and leading business development efforts for the company.

Prior to joining Blue State Digital, Casey was Vice President at Freud Communications, where she directed strategy development, positioning and messaging, campaign execution and crisis communications for high-profile corporate and non-profit clients, including DonorsChoose, The Climate Group and Walden Media, as well as reputation management for several high-net worth individuals and their philanthropic endeavors.

Before becoming a New Yorker, Casey spent several years in Washington, serving in a marketing and business development role at the Advisory Board Company, a healthcare consulting and best practices firm, and as a public affairs consultant with the Downey McGrath Group, a bi-partisan government affairs firm.  She also worked in the Los Angeles office of CarryOn Communications, a consumer PR firm.  Casey has political campaign experience, having worked on the advance team in Pennsylvania for Kerry-Edwards ’04 and on Rep. Maurice Hinchey’s ’98 successful re-election campaign.

A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in American Studies, Casey lives in lower Manhattan with her husband, Jason, and son, Bennett.
